Casper Housing Authority is celebrating 50 years of service to Casper.
We work every day to bring the best opportunities to our community - including our annual Father's Day Event in June, community garden days, Urban Thistle Farm & Market, Project Homeless Connect Natrona County, and the integral work of our nonprofit arm, CHA CARES.
CARES oversees programs that support the people Casper Housing Authority serves.
Wednesdays are food pantry deliver days where our Family Self Sufficiency Team delivers food to all of the properties we manage - CentrePointe Apartments Raven Crest Apartments Liberty Square Apartments Life Steps Campus as well as our main office lobby and the CARES Free Store
The Family Self Sufficiency Team works with tenants to help them stay housed. They provide help from day 1 of an individual's interaction with CHA. FSS Team Members help with Applications to CHA's housing programs, help people register for other services like SNAP and WIC, and are the connecting force of the work we do.
The FSS Team also staffs our CARES Free Store which is open and free to everyone in the community eath Thursday from 1:30 - 3:30 pm. The Free Store is located adjacent to the CHA headquarters at 140 East K STreet.
Additionally, CHA CARES runs ReFabb4Less, a building supply thrift store. Donations are always accepted and the store is open Thursday - Saturday.
ReFAbb4Less is also a part of our mission - to help people access building supplies to improve their homes in an affordable way.
All of our work is important. It helps us help serve our community and we believe in the work. Our team shows up every day to ensure we help as many people as we can live their best lives.
